Christians…I am no less a person……..?

Just because i don’t believe in ‘your god’.
I have stated many times “I was a christian for 35 years”, so i doubt many if any of you could teach me anything about the ‘bible’. Its so easy to punch a couple of words into a computer and hey presto ‘a quote, verse or chapter from the bible is on your screen’.
But how many of you have ‘actually read’ your book ???
My 2 sons have numerous cups, shields, trophies plus, for their skills in bible reading, scripture quizzes etc.
Do you have any ????
I am a ‘witch’ i am proud of it, i train with the bsy in various forms of mantic arts.
I hope to go onto shamanism soon and become a shamanka.
I love this path ‘I’ have chosen of my own free will, i love the fact that what i am doing benefits our planet. And people if they ask for help where i can use my skills.
Seriously what makes you as a mere human think you can convert me when your ‘almighty god can’t’ ???

  1. If you care so little about the approval of Christians, why do you explain yourself like this? It makes you seem desparate for their approval. If it really is as you say, then just do your own thing and let it go.
And NeoFrehley: She’s worried about them harassing her, trying to convert her? What planet do you live on? If you aren’t strong enough in your beliefs to stand firm and ignore people with different perspectives than yours, then you might want to question how strong your beliefs actually are.

  2. you’re wasting your time. it’s like that scene in cool hand luke.
“what we’ve got here is failure to communicate. some men you just can’t reach…”

  3. I am just curious as to how/why you switched your religion. If you know so much about the Bible, then aren’t you afraid of Hell? Seriously. I am not trying to be a sarcastic brat.

  4. Personally, I wouldn”t waste my time on you. By the way, what exactly are you doing that is benefiting our planet, like you said? Turning people into toads and casting evil spells on peple you don’t like? Stuff like that? ** You ‘witches’ and all your thumbs down can blow me.**

  5. Cool. Blessed Be I think is your version of God bless u. So Blessed Be.
Good luck with the whole shamism.
Don’t bother with reading any angry e-mails just delete them when u see them. And ignoring works too.
Thats my advice for the day.

  6. Why should I try to convert you? You have free will, you have been told the alternatives and what to expect. In the end you’ll have no one to blame but yourself.

  7. “Seriously what makes you as a mere human think you can convert me when your ‘almighty god can’t’ ???”
Nobody can convert you, only you can convert yourself. Of course, you see nothing wrong with being a witch, because you are helping others. Do your own will and let God be the Judge on Judgement Day. He will decide what is right.

  8. God loves you and true Christians love you. However, you have taken the wrong path. Come back home to the love of God that is made available to all people in Christ Jesus. I am praying for you.

  9. Because they say we should accept each other, but they are also people not accepting others.
Religion is one thing and church is another…i want to advise everyone to choose the first one, and leave the second one behind!!!I’m not a Christian by the way, I have my own beliefs.
You are no less person, and I’m not either. We’re okay. If they can’t accept that, who cares??

  10. for those who think ‘they’ can convert anyone, they cannot… only God can do that but it has to be the person’s choosing….
you are ‘not’ less of a person.. you have just chosen a path other than God… makes you no less human or less of a person.

  11. With the attitude that you have, I am sure God let “YOU” go, not the other way around. I’m sorry, but your entire question is full of arrogance…it seems every other word was “ME” or “I”…or something about your kids. It’s great that they are so accomplished as well as yourself…but people don’t want to hear about it nor do they appreciate it as much when there is a tone of “better than thou” in your writing.

  12. Haha, well, anyone who is “trying to convert you” will not be able to. I think that you are the one you is incorrectly reading your Bible (for 35 years) if that’s what you think, as that’s a very simple theological error that anyone who really delves into scripture could see. We are the ones who are preach the gospel…but its the Holy Spirit who convicts.
And yes, I read my Bible. Everyday. And I’ve read through it many times since I’ve become a Christian.
I’ve also read it when I wasn’t a real believer. It seems that, from the information you provided, that you may have read the Bible like I did…without really understanding it. If you are really interested in learning how to examine scripture, add me to your contact list and we’ll get in touch.

  13. You sound like a very disturbed person. Maybe you’re hanging out in the wrong place huh? So you’ve chosen your own free will, OK. Let it go already!

  14. Luke 9:62
And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Sorry to hear about the other path you have chosen. Many people on the wide path that leads to destruction.
No I don’t see you as less of a person. No I don’t hate you. No I won’t criticize you. Be sure of this, God will be your judge.

  15. I hope you find happiness there.
But you are mistaken about one thing-you were never a Christian. You may have been a church member, but you were not born again. I do not believe God would allow you to draw another breath if you were born again.
With all your knowledge of the Bible did you ever read that God punishes “His” children for disobedience? I sincerely believe that since you are still alive, that you are a child of the devil, and always were.

  16. OK you say your witch but study mantic art. And are planning to go in to Shamanism and become a Shamanka. Last time I knew shamanism was a type of religion or spirituality, not a witch type of path.
Next why are you so angry about converting. If you are secure at what you have choose what’s the big deal? Witches do believe in GODS. You don’t have to believe in him. If you don’t want versus quoted to you and you have read the bible and choose a different path for you, then good. Be happy and don’t do the very same thing you are accusing Christian’s about.
If you like what you are doing guide people. Give out information but don’t put Christians down, that’s against what you are trying to achieve in shamanism.

  17. Good on ya! But they won’t stop until they up their converts by at least 50% this year!
Literati06: she’s not looking for approval, she’s looking to stop the christians from attempting to convert her. She’s just trying to say that christians think their way is right & they try to force their beliefs on everyone else. She’s saying that she is as good a human (if not better) without christianity than most of those who are WITH christianity.
Your religion doesn’t definte who you are because you can christian and be a total @$$clown, or you can be a satanist & be the nicest person in the world. (I have met some nice ones!) Religion does not make you who you are, your actions & treatment of others does. Religion is nothing more than a life “buffer” for those who don’t want to find the answers to life, and those who are afraid of death & want to believe in some soft-cushy ending.

  18. I alone cannot change your convictions. Since you have extensive knowledge of the Bible you know the consequences of the choice you have made and accept them. I on the other hand have made my choice, to follow CHRIST, and gladly accept the consequences of my choice. I do not judge you I only point out what you yourself must have known prior to making your choice. I do not have any medals for scripture study, but that does not make me ignorant of the scripture. I do however have the desire and the will to witness for GOD and spread the good news about salvation.
I pray that whatever made you turn your back on GOD will pass and you will rethink your decision. Only you can do that.

  19. I’m with you part way. I dropped away from the church too. I considered it all to be just foolish medieval superstition.
However, what you’re getting into is just more of the same. What is witchcraft except foolish superstition ?
Just exactly what “skills” does a “witch” have ? If you can control the beliefs in spells and magic, make the weak-minded believe you can effect their lives through witchcraft, that’s just using the power of suggestion.
Anyway, good luck to you in your superstitions.

  20. who says you are any less of a person? i’ll kick their butt (just kidding)…just don’t abuse your powers, that’s all i ask—you have made your decision to live your life as you see fit.

  21. What saddens me is the number of ‘negatives’ attached to answers given ‘in a Christian tone’.
    They truly never forgive.
I am glad for you that you have found happiness.
I wish you the best in your endeavours.

  22. The scriptures speak of persons who are vitriolic and flippant:
2Ti 3:1 But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty.
2Ti 3:2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good,
2Ti 3:4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
2Ti 3:5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.
Rom 1:26 For these reasons “…God gave them up to dishonorable passions.”
    (ESV translation)
The bible refers to witches using the Hebrew
    kâshaph
    (pronounced: kaw-shaf’)
A primitive root; properly to whisper a spell, that is, to enchant or practice magic: – sorcerer, (use) witch (-craft).
    Also,
    ‘oÌ‚b
    Pronounced: “obe”
properly a mumble, that is, a water skin (from its hollow sound); hence a necromancer (ventriloquist, as from a jar): – bottle, familiar spirit.
For example, see the story of the witch of Endor in 1Sa 28:7. The bible is full of stories describing sorcerers, sorceresses, diviners, and mediums.
The Israelites were forbidden to have any contact with anyone who claimed to communicate with the unseen world. Eight means of communication with the spirit world are given. They are called abominations by God. They include: one who practices witchcraft (a witch or a warlock), . . . a soothsayer (a seer; a false prophet), . . . one who interprets omens (a palm-reader; a fortune-teller; an astrologer), . . . a sorcerer (a witchdoctor), . . . one who conjures spells (a wizard), . . . a medium (spirit medium), . . . a spiritist (a séance leader), . . . one who calls up the dead (a necromancer). Some of these “professions” overlap.
Tragically, this nearly 3,400 year-old prohibition is just as much needed in “enlightened” modern times as it was long ago.
Satanism, demons, and the occult are dark, sinister realities, not tricks. One of the signs that we are nearing the close of this age is the widespread interest in witchcraft, astrology, and other forms of the occult. . . . Thousands consult their horoscope each day, attend séances, or seek to communicate with deceased loved ones. There’s also a great interest in Satanism and demons. The Bible repeatedly warns against such practices (Lev_19:31; Lev_20:27; 2Ch_33:6; Jer_10:2; Gal_5:19-20).
How urgent and current are the warnings of the Bible! Let’s not play around with something that could become a kiss of death.
I suggest you study the books “Magic in the Middle Ages” by Richard Kieckhefer or “Strange Histories” by Darren Oldridge to correct the misunderstandings you have about witchcraft, its history, and its origins.

  23. You don’t have to answer to us “Christians”
The only one you will have to answer to is God on judgment day, but i will pray for you
    God Bless

  24. Apparently no one reads or believes in the book, for Jesus said you can’t set your spouse aside except for adultery and right here today a whole flock of people are defending those 50% of the cloth that got a divorce with lame, human excluses instead of Biblical passages.
Funny how the rules don’t apply to ministers, but they do apply to others like Atheists and Homosexuals.
Rules have to apply to eveyrone to be valid or escape clauses have to apply to everyone.
The Hell pushers better make up their minds as to what, where and who, and it better include Christians and Ministers who break the rules or it applies to no one.

  25. If you feel called to become a shaman that is entirely your business. But you might get farther if you loose the anger and hostility.
You seem to have a lot of anger which suggests to me that even though you knew the Bible, you never became acquainted with God’s Spirit.
I wouldn’t try to convert you. Nobody can convert you. You are too hostile to God’s Spirit to let him work through you.
I do not think of you as a lesser person, just a person with a lot of anger.

  26. First of all: It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been a Christian, how many times you read the bible or if you have any cups, trophies, or whatever. What matter is as a Christian, have you serve God with all of your heart. And to answer your question, I don’t believe anyone can convert you if you don’t want to be. God only convert you when you ask Him to, because He gave everyone a free will to choose what they want to believe in. So every human is equal, Christan or not.

  27. You sound somewhat like me. Mom’s father was a preacher, so I was sent to his church when I was a child. I took Bible History in college and minored in Philosophy. I know much more about the Bible than my sister who is angry if I say anything that disagrees with her ignorant beliefs. I see contradictions in the Bible and infantile scientific knowledege. I realized that at age 7 or 8. I never joined Mom’s church. I haven’t believed in such stuff since I was quite young.

  28. I cannot convert anyone- it is the Holy Spirit who convicts hearts- so if you are a witch and following that belief you have chosen to reject the Lord of Lords. One day you will know that He is the way the truth and the life- Bible knowledge does not make you a Christian. Knowing the one that the Bible points too does.

  29. I am sorry you have lost your way. We are living in the last days. On Judgment day no one escapes the judgment. Jesus calls people to repentance Matthew 4:17″From that time on Jesus began to preach,’ Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near.” Sooner or later every man, woman and child will acknowledge that Jesus is Lord.Philippians 2: 9-11 ” Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

  30. Well, if you know the bible that well, then you know that we aren’t trying to convert you. We do not have the power to convert you, only the holy spirit can do that. So, I don’t understand why you are asking the questions if you are an expert. Yes, I’ve been through the whole bible. One verse that is mentioned that you will surely remember one day is that “every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”. I’m not here to judge you or convert you, that’s God’s job. Enjoy living for your own lust of the flesh and lust of this earth. As you know, all things shall pass away on this earth. When it does, explain to God why you rejected him.

  31. You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT, my dear. We CANNOT convert you, NOR can our Almighty God. Only YOU can convert YOU, and you have chosen your path of spirituality. You are NO LESS a person than I, and I thank God for your life.
When Christians “condemn” you for your choice, it is usually because they are trying to “warn” you of the spiritual consequences of your decision. They don’t want to see you “suffer” those consequences, and it hurts their heart to see you do that. Forgive their “aggressiveness” in trying to convince you otherwise.
God will never force you to believe in Him, but He also wants you to know that He loves you and also doesn’t want you to “suffer” the spiritual consequences of your decision.
I’m sorry that you’re so upset by what Christians have told you, or done to you, in the past, and present. At worst, they are terrible people, at best they are “misguided.” Forgive them and understand where they “come from” spiritually. Forgive them and understand them as you are asking to be understood in your beliefs.

  32. For the sake of showing where I come from, I grew up Christian (LDS), served a mission, and taught advanced classes on the Bible. I know it better than most with doctorates in theology. Now I am a devout Atheist. I not only lack a belief in God (the only requirement for being Atheist), I specifically believe there is none.
Now, to my answer. I like to follow the Wiccan Rede, “An it harm none, do as thou wilt.” I am not a Wiccan or any other type of mystic, but I believe the Rede is a solid way to live your life. That way, even if I am wrong on the whole “God” issue, any just God can look at my acts and see I harmed no one. Further, in this “harming none” I try to leave the world better than I found it. I don’t need to kiss any God’s posterior every Sunday to live a just life. Having known many who follow the witch’s path, I know most of them to be just and upright people.
Follow your path where it leads you and ignore those too small minded to allow you to walk your path un-mocked. Those who seek truth will see you doing the same and respect your journey. Those who think they have found it stop seeking, never realizing that truth is in the journey, not the destination.

  33. Alright, I do not share your beliefs, but you are NO less human. People, what she is talking about people trying to convert her, is that its aggrivating as hell to have some bible thumper try to “save your soul”. I was babtised when i was born, and until about a year ago, i was christian. I now follow the beliefs of my people, the tsalagi. This is the way i see it: as long as you believe there is only one creator, then we all believe in the same “god”, or whatever you want to call creator. The definition of christian is “The belief that Jesus Christ was the son of God”. I do not believe this. I believe he was a real man, but he was a man who the creator worked through. I believe the story of moses and noah, and all of that happened, I believe that jesus healed people, but he was not the son of god. He didnt “die for our sins”. He was crucified because the higher ups didnt like what he was saying. Christians look down on non-christians, because they think that we are less than they are. its is sad really. they are afraid of not being with the creator, so they think that by pittying us they will get there somehow. We will all be with the creator in our own time. we all might not get there right after our bodies give out, but in our own sweet time, we will be with creator. So i say screw them, and their self-righteousness.

  34. Amberwolf, isnt it sad that everyone can judge others instead of looking within themselves to make the world better from within? I think the thing that is missing within some of the worlds great religions is the idea that no one is better than the other when one (religion) is busy looking down their nose to try to “convert” another~the thing is that All religions came from the same one belief+++++ that there is something more and noone religion should try to convert anyone. We are all on different levels of spirituality and I believe that those two words “converting and Religion” are binding and keep us all from reaching the goal that we all share. Make sense??? :):)
