Chakra Gates, qi, chi, etc…?

Is it possible for ones chakra gate (or gates) to suddenly open themselves? And say that ones chakra suddenly becomes very strong and he/she is able to control it as in move it from one part of the body to the other, how would this be possible? (without any previous meditation or training). I ask becuase this happened to me a few years ago. I was going for a run and all of a sudden i felt an odd rush of energy comeing from my left hand and wrist, i discovered i was able to move it to other parts of my body at will. I had no idea what was going on, so i looked it up and it sounded like chakra or chi or qi whatever you want to call it. Since than, its gotten very powerful. I can make it go anywhere in my body at will, it never seems to run out, and it gives me a ton of energy. It feels like a warm slightly tingly feeling inside of me, it is most powerful in my left hand(where it seemingly came from) and recently i feel as if i can make it form outside my body because when i do that specificly, i feel very warm and i can feel it move over my skin. And just a few days ago, i felt a new energy suddenly come out of mmy stomach are when i pushed my energy really hard, it feels somewhat darker, colder maybe. This new energy is not strong, but i can feel it has a lot of power behind it. I have had no previous training in any form of martial arts nor have i ever meditated. And over the years, its only gotten stronger.
PS: I dont watch naruto nor do i watch any anime. No drugs, nor do i drink. Im 15, i live a perfectly normal life, and the only thing weird is this energy thing. All i want to know is if what happened to me is rare, how iit happened, and if there is anything i can use it for or any thing i can do to make it stronger.
Thanks, G. Michael

  1. There is something to be said for the first answer.
It’s been shown that there is a loose correlation between the Chakras of yoga and the organs of the endocrine system, such as your thyroid or adrenal glands. So it could well be hormonal. A combination of that, and perhaps being in good, solid physical condition–you mention being a runner.
Well, athletes generally do posess a higher degree of bodily awareness than most non-athletes, it’s a given because they *use* their bodies more.
And where’s this awareness? In your brain. Where’s the pituitary gland, which controls the endocrine system and is likely *very* active in a teenager? In your brain.
So what’s happening is, in a loose sense you’re becoming more aware of the more *fluid* side of your body–bloodflow, movement of body heat, things like that, which are indirect indicators of hormonal activity. The skin on the insides of your forearms, from your elbows to wrists, has been shown to regulate body temperature. And the thyroid/parathyroid system does in fact regulate both body temperature and digestive activity.
It would seem you have a talent for this–for a deeper understanding of your body’s fluid processes. It might be prudent to learn some yoga and explore this more deeply. If nothing else it will make a good adjunct, in terms of fitness, to your running.
And congratulations….most folks never get to this level of awareness, even after a lot of training. Many get stuck on just breathing and being in position. ^__^

  2. Sounds like some serious qi flow brother… that’s normal, although not everyone is that sensitive to it. Definitely look into a book called “The Way of Qigong” by Ken Cohen. Also, taijiquan is a good martial art that emphasizes the cultivation of qi. Qi cultivation is worth pursuit with or without any inclination to the martial arts…pick up the Ken Cohen book…and have fun!
