Carrying the Burden?

For the last two weeks, I’ve had these weird dreams about myself, robbing people. In the dreams, I would have a gun, jack them up at gun point. Break into people’s house and clear them out. Or robbing stores and cash registers etc.
Anyway, it seems like karma, what happened on Sunday. (This wasn’t a dream by the way –>) I was working out at the gym. I lock’d my stuff up with my friend. After doing the weights, we went to do cardio. We figured that we would take our stuff out of the locker so we can just leave, cause there’s a door right beside the cardio room. Nothing looks suspicious until my friend found that his PSP was gone. Then he checked his wallet, there was no money inside. I checked my bag. My digital camera was gone and all of my money. The guy took off with over a thousand dollars worth of stuff.
Anyway, it seems like I was punished for something I dreamed off. Pass life? I don’t know. Anyone ever had this happen?
off topic:
I live in a big city, so if you’re the thief that jack’d me up, I hope you get what’s coming to you.

  1. I dont know,
But i remember i had a dream i killed someone.
The next day my cousin was found dead.
the thing is was im not very close to any of my cousins,
    but we were best friends..
Im not saying i wouldnt be upset if it had been someone else,
i just found it weird since i had that dream.

  2. The dream and the robbery are independent. The dream is just random neurological states in your brain. The dream is probably more affected by your diet than the WooWoo of Cosmos.
You live in a big city. You should be aware of the crime in big cities. You left your stuff unattended in a public place. Why are you surprised that you got robbed? You are lucky the thief didn’t take your credit cards and ID.
Pay more attention to where you leave your stuff and less attention to uncontrollable WooWoo. I bet you get ripped less often.

  3. Bummer- sorry about getting robbed. I’ve been robbed before and that experience was a huge wake-up call for me!
Could the dream be commenting on your recent actions to “robb” someone of their own thoughts or opinions? Stores and cash registers could point to the value of what is being “robbed” from people. You break in and clear them out. Does this sound like a situation you might have recently been in? Or is someone mentally or verbally “robbing” you of something?

  4. Ah, karma, that catch-all of “what goes around comes around.” I sort of believe in it myself, but in my “present life” only!… But: as far as you and your friend being burgled (no threat of violence, so no robbery occurred), that was just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, without enough good sense! (Do you think of changing gyms, by the way? may be an employee or another customer there).
I don’t think your burglary was a result of “robbery” dreams at all. How could you be guilty of crimes you only dreamt of? They are slightly weird dreams, but they could be the result of very ordinary circumstances: spicy food, a TV show, desire for a little more control in your life, wanting a quick change in finances, worry about finances, things like that.
It would only be weird if you actually robbed someone just because you dreamt about it a lot! I’ll bet you’ve had other dreams you haven’t acted on just because you dreamt them.
Take it easy, and watch out for those in your life who may wish you even a little bit of harm… your dream guns may also be a subconscious desire to protect yourself. As the saying goes, (well! I just forgot it!)… as I might say: Pay attention to your dreams, but not as fortune-telling, or as ‘payback’ for a “past life.”

  5. According to Dreamcrowd:
To see a gun in your dream , symbolizes aggression, anger, and potential danger. You may be dealing with issues of passiveness/aggressiveness and authority/dependence. Alternatively, a gun can represent the penis and male sexual drive. Thus the gun may mean power and impotence. To dream that you are loading a gun, forewarns that you should be careful in not letting your temper get out of control. To dream that you shoot someone with a gun, denotes your aggressive feelings and hidden anger toward that particular person. To dream that someone is shooting you with a gun, suggests that you are experiencing some confrontation in your waking life. You may feel victimized in some situation. See also: Pistol, Shot

  6. To dream that you have been robbed, denotes that you are experiencing an identity crisis or you are suffering some sort of loss in your life. Alternatively, you may feel that someone has stolen your success or has taken credit for something you did

If the dream happened before you guys go robbed it could’ve been your mind warning you!!
Its just your conscience working =]
