You know, like of someone were to believe in evolution, the big bang, and stuff, but still believe there was a transcendent element to reality. If someone were to view everything in nature as part of one interconnected whole or that we are all part of one unfolding and evolving reality.
Also if someone were to think that ‘sins’ can create hell by manifesting themselves in the external reality. Like, if human were to keep living as greedy and selfish at the pace they are now, what will become of the world? If we keep tearing down forests, building nuclear weapon, and letting millions starve. The seven deadly sins make sense to me, but so does science. How do I know which to follow? Why do science and spiritual have to contradict? Would it be against science to believe that if humans were to fill their hearts with love for all creatures and nature as a whole, then over time we will stop identifying as the self and start identifying with the whole of nature. Once you identify yourself with the whole of existence, rather than the ego, then death no longer exists. Maybe this is what the fall and separation from god in the bible means. That man has misidentified itself as something separate from nature.
