Can meditation help you achieve the impossible?

I need to learn calculus. I took it in high school, but almost failed. I need to take it again in college and I am afraid of failing again. No matter how hard I study and practice, I just can’t understand it.

If I used meditation, would I be able to learn better or easier?

I have tried every other method to get the information to stick, but have had no luck.

I have already tried several different tutors, however even the basics fail to sink in.

I believe meditation, if practiced well and with frequency, will make you a better person in many respects. But I doubt if you would see such short term goals accomplished by beginning to meditate.

If you are really determined to improve in calculus in the short term, you just need to put in more time. What ever your homework assignments are, double them. “Getting” something is all about putting in the repetitions. You might need more repetitions than the average person, but nonetheless, repetitions are what you need.

Meditation does help some people learn better in that it calms the mind down a bit. I took Calculus in high school as well and did fairly well at it. However, when I went back to college after some time in the Army I lasted 2 days in Calculus. Unless Calculus is a pre-requisite from another class you need to take right away, I recommend you take college algebra and work your way back up to Calculus again. In the long-run, it will be easier.

Meditation is the original and ancient form of auto-suggestion that moulds ones mind and body , the way he /she wants .

obviously not.
If you achieve something, by whatever method, then it wasnt impossible.

(this is the sort of mentality that is going to make calculus hard for you)

Medication can’t improve your ability to learn unless you’re failing because of some medical condition which can be treated. Does your mind keep wandering when you try to learn? If so, then you should get tested for ADD, which is treatable.

if you could achieve it through any mechanism–then it by defintion is not impossible.

Okay, nevermind. And meditation only helps to calm your nerves and ease anxiety. It’s not a magic cure for everything, but it may help ease your mind enough to absorb information.
