Can I get a scientific explanation of Astral projection and out of body experiences?

I believe in it because I feel like I have done it before, but I know there are athiests or scientists that don’t believe in it even though hundreds of people can say that they either practice astral projection or have had an Out of Body Experience whether it be in a car crash or surgery. What is it and what actually happens? Can I get a good explanation? Thanks! 🙂

I’ve had countless “out of body experiences” throughout my entire life. For some reason I’ve always had a natural ability to cause them to happen. They’re amazing experiences that are hard to describe. You’re probably expecting me to say I believe in them, but I don’t. As amazing as they are, I’m aware of how our minds can create hallucinations that seem completely real, but aren’t.

Sure: It’s make-believe.

If you can PROVE you can do it, the JREF has a million dollars for you.

Nobody’s ever claimed it.

What happens.. is you’re unconscious and your sub conscious is processing information, you consciously pick up bits and pieces of it, and the part of your brain that handles sensory input tries to make sense of it. AKA you’re dreaming.

And, of course.. there’s drugs screwing with your head too.

You can learn to have out of body experiences or go to a neuroscientist who has the right devices to induce it. Its not supernatural, you dont actually leave your body.

Yes: Lucid dreaming. Happens to me all the time. FEELS real, AIN’T real.

Our minds are rather limited, and we fool ourselves easily. If we want to believe something, our minds will look for things that seem to confirm it, ignore things that do not, and we will believe it. That’s really all there is to most supernatural experiences. DNEs, seeing angels/ghosts/images of Mary, Out of Body Experiences, you name it.
