Buddhists: how do i become a Buddha? how do i become enlightened?

is it possible to maintain a pure conscience all the time?

  1. you have to be able to sever all ties with material possessions, and learn to be in the present completely. trust me, its a lot harder than it sounds. you have to realize that all suffering comes from want

  2. “Easy”
    Look in the real world.
    Decode this lyrics ” You’ll see ”
    “Wonderful world”
    “Little drummer boy”
    Go to the kitchen?
Take all mother pots and pans?
    Turn it all upside down?
    Then get the chop sticks?
    Starting hitting it?
If the sound is like good music?
Then will be enlighten by then?
    If out of tune?
    Continue in practicing it?
    Luke 21.30-36
    Luke 9.25,55-56,60
    Luke 24.44-45,47-48
    What do you think?

  3. read
What Makes You NOT a Buddhist
for what makes you a Buddhist
Big Mind,Big Heart by Roshi Merzel
for a quick glimpse of enlightment
most people in westerrn countries are merely fans of Buddhism even if they think otherwise

  4. You already have a pure conscience all the time. You just don’t use it. Being a buddhist may or may not help. The difference between a bird in a cage and a birt on a tree is the cage. Slipping the cage of buddhism around you, will do nothing to bring you to enlightenment. Asking questions will.
Do you imagine these little men in military like uniforms, running about begging for food and shaving their heads are actually enlightened? Does one become enlightened by restricting all life experience and isolating one’s self in a temple. Can you become either knowledgable or enlightened by sitting on your butt for hours each day and contemplating your naval?
The answer to this is surprisingly … “Yes.” But the fact of the matter is further reaching. You can also become enlightened here and now, this very moment, and you need not buy into the dogma, religious structure, or myths associated with Buddhism.
All you need do is understand that you understand. Accept that which is, as it is. Buddhists dress in funny little robes and say things to confuse your mind. That is who they are and what they do. They tell you that you can end suffering by following the eight fold path. Well you can also end it by a belief in God or by accepting the great unfolding of the Tao.
It is all the mind of man. It is all the cage you will place around yourself. The bird that is free may fly through the window and sit on the cage for a bit before moving on to its next adventure. The bird in the cage needs no adventure because it already knows the entire world in which it lives. Everything makes perfect sense. The bird in the cage is truely enlightened while the bird on the wind will remain confused and ignorant of the many things it will find as it flys from place to place.
What is enlightenment to you? Do you really want to know or is it adventure you seek.
    Good Luck.
