  1. Type in Buddhism in any or all major search engines, such as yahoo or goggle…, that should lead you to some sites. Also check out topics such as Hinayana Buddhism, Mahayana Buddhism, and Vajrayana Buddhism. Check out all sites or as many sites as you can.
Also check out Theravada Buddhism, Pure Land Buddhism, Chan (Zen) Buddhism, Yogacara School, Mind Only School, Nyingmapa, Kagyupa, Sakyapa, and Gelugpa (too political- best stay away lest you learn nothing important), Jolangpa.
In the beginning, just read introduction pages, then later go back to the same sites for other descriptions and teaching, once you have learned something, then you can compare all the information and that way you won’t be fooled by propaganda of any false schools or sites with ulterior motives, or having incomplete picture.
Buddhism is very in depth teachings, and it is difficult to make out heads from toes if you have no guidance.
I hope many success for you to find the right school for yourself, and don’t be like some people on this Yahoo, Answer, who know a little and give everyone the wrong information, or incomplete information.
I wish that you can follow through with your learning and become a real Buddhist with proper knowledge and then achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings.
