Does anybody have any good websites/ resources/ books/ information about where I can research further and examine the Buddhist teachings about the end of suffering and the path that leads to it?? I have aan understanding of it but not to a great extent.
If anyone would like to give their own understanding, that’d be great too
Much appreciated

Oh yeah. My first stop is usually http://www.buddhanet.net. From there you’ll find terms, texts, ideas, different sects of Buddhism, and everything else, and if they aren’t linked to another page you can google them and find another page. And I’ll root around my history to see if I have any more for you.
Theravada Buddhist/Taoist.
EDIT: To give my understanding would take either all day to explain, or two sentences as I realize I really don’t understand anything. That is the nature of Buddhism.
Here’s another good one: http://www.thebigview.com/buddhism/

An excellent introduction to this topic is the short book, “It’s Easier Than You Think: The Buddhist Way to Happiness,” by Sylvia Boorstein. This book brings Buddha’s ancient teaching to life in the context of our modern world. It’s warm, witty, and wise – which is what you’d expect from a senior Buddhist teacher.
The Buddha taught about suffering and its end through what are called the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. A good resource for learning more about these is: http://www.thebigview.com/buddhism/fourtruths.html
The Four Noble Truths describe how desire (usually called “craving”) produces a deep sense of dissatisfaction with life. The Eightfold Path describes what we have to do to put an end to craving and aversion.
In my own experience, the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path don’t really come alive without meditation practice. These teachings although wise and based in experience, are merely good ideas that don’t transform our life – unless we practice. That’s why meditation is an important aspect of the Eightfold Path itself.

Falun Gong is a unique Buddhist School, found in 1992 by Master Li Hongzhi in China. It’s practiced in over 80 countries worldwide. Falun Gong is an ancient practice for the body, mind, based upon the universal principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. Falun Gong consists of five sets of powerful exercises and the demo videos and books are free for download. You can also contact a nearby practitioner for free workshop and/or free instructions.
Falun Gong, Tibetans, Buddhists, and Christians have been persecuted in China. The most offensive human right violation is the organ harvesting from the Falun Gong practitioners in China. Can you kindly sign a petition to stop persecution of peaceful Falun Gong practitioners in China, please ?

Sure thing:
DO NOT use wikipedia. Never use wikipedia they’re wildly inaccurate.

Meditation now or never
anything by the dalai lama, thich nhat hanh, chogyam trungpa, lama zopa rinpoche, or pema chodron.
