Athiests, do you believe in this statement?

“God” is the impersonal life force, consciousness, ultimate truth and reality, the incorporeal, formless cosmic order personified within all people and matter. God is all and all are God.
i’m not sure what to believe anymore, i thought i was athiest because i dont beleive in a corporeal spirit named God, but i belive that the term for me is just that its everywhere..that
the supreme force is ultimate truth.

In my Opinion, If an “Atheist” said yes then by the definition of that specific label they would no longer be an Atheist but something else. Again, that is my problem with labels. It traps one within its classification and definition.

HM .. I guess I could live with that. You call it ‘God’. I call it ‘Tao’. Or ‘The All’.
Or something like that.

The trouble is, once you try to put it into words, it loses something.
If you get what I mean?

Oh, and for what it’s worth, I consider myself both an atheist and a Taoist. They’re only labels after all. Things we use for convenience. What’s in our hearts, that may be indefinable. But that’s OK, IMO.

I kinda like that. I’m still not sure whether some of my beliefs could be considered spiritual or not 🙂

If you’re going to start redefining words, you can make anything seem reasonable.

That’s very deist, but as good as any definition I’ve heard and better than most.

Sounds like some new age statement. I would be more tolerant if the word ‘God’ was an adjective, like ‘Mother Nature’ is, but people already associate that word with the Bible deity.

I’m not even sure that means anything. Sounds nice, though.

You don’t seem to know what an atheist is.

Although I tend to call myself an atheist, sometimes I’m agnostic and sometimes pantheistic, such as what you have just described. I just answered a question recently in which I said God is everything, everything is God, the only thing that does exist. It’s far more credible than anything Abrahamic.

we all have it in us to believe in God, but people who don’t believe in God, usually get blinded by their pride

NO, if you believe the lies then yes-it won’t matter how stupid it is because stupid/bible is real because it says so

Nope, if you do your homework, you’ll find that “gods” throughout time… before and after Churchianity were based upon The Sun, planets, constellations of the zodiac, which is waaaaay older than Christiainity. Not only did they worship celestial objects, they also worshipped plants… and not just any kind of plants… they worshipped DRUGS!

None of that really means anything… I feel like it’s kind of just a bunch of cliches lumped together.

I believe everything is everything, I don’t need to call it god. I don’t assume there’s order, purpose, “ultimate truth,” or an impersonal life force, whatever that is.

This statement is neither true, false or an opinion.

It simply contains nothing to agree or disagree with.
