Astral Travel or Dreaming?

I have been experiencing sleep paralysis very often lateley almost every night and my mother told me it is very similar to astral travel and to try to travel out of my body the next time i have sleep paralysis. So the next time it happened i tried to stay calm and tried to float off and all of a sudden i could feel my body vibrating at intense speeds, thats when i got scared and started to panic and got the usual sufforcating feeling and tried to call my girlfriend to wake me up but couldn’t untill i finally wake up damn near flying off the bed onto the floor. Was that vibrating sensation a sign on astral travel? And when i got through slaap paralysis i cant see anything because my eyes are closed. and when i finally get to astral travel, how do I know if i’m just dreaming or not? And is Astral travel even real?

I think that astral travel could be possible and perhaps is related to telepathy and to quantum structure of the world- the consience or the subconsience enter in connection with similar .
As these things are difficult to be proven and as you do not feel good after this “travel” why don’t you try meditation before sleep
so to have calm and refreshing sleep?

Its astral travel, keep calm when its happening ! relax your body! I used to get scared of it too but now in my sleep i am realizing its happening then i just relax my body and i am fine.

the vibrating sensation was your girlfriend using her jackrabbit on herself because you are unable to satisfy her.

i used to fly when i was a little girl and it rarely if ever works when i am conscious of it…..i actually see everything from the angle of me in flight…..i am never conscious of my body……but when i return to my body i feel the heaviness of it……and it can begin when awake with a long deep stare in which i get lost…..

interesting outlook. most religious folk think sleep paralysis is demons coming to get you in the middle of the night. they dont know its actually a condition. i had a similar experiance once. i woke up startled, like i was falling, however i went to brace myself and my bed was no longer under me. so something happened t make me fall over 2ft onto my bed. i dont think i slep walked and took a jump onto my bed. *shrug* never know though

No, it’s not real. You’re just having vivid nightmares – you might want to talk to a doctor about that. Apparently your mom was not all that helpful.
