Are all Christians afraid of tarot cards?

Because I’m Christians and I use tarot cards. I really don’t think there anything wrong with that. And most christians said in the bible that cards will release evil spirits. That just crazy.

  1. If you WERE a Believer, you WOULDN’T use them!
    Better read this:
    Revelation 21:8 (New International Version)
8But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

  2. What’s funny is the Torah which some of the old testament is based upon is based upon the Tarot… hehe
You won’t release evil spirits, that’s just a lie… besides an evil spirit would be something like the liquor everclear… The bible is also heavily based upon astrology and shamanism.. hehe

  3. I’m not afraid of them, I just don’t think they show, prove, do, say, or predict anything. In other words, they are cards with meaningless pictures on them, and the combination of meaningless pictures is also meaningless. It would be silly to be afraid of something meaningless.

  4. Tarot cards are not for Christains.
True Christains do as Jesus did; and he did not look to demons for counsel.
***Notice how Jesus dealt with the demons:
“Now in the synagogue there was a man with a spirit, an unclean demon, and he shouted with a loud voice: 34 “Ah! What have we to do with you, Jesus you Naz·a·rene´? Did you come to destroy us? I know exactly who you are, the Holy One of God.” 35 But Jesus rebuked it, saying: “Be silent, and come out of him.” So, after throwing the man down in their midst, the demon came out of him without hurting him. 36 At this, astonishment fell upon all, and they began to converse with one another, saying: “What sort of speech is this, because with authority and power he orders the unclean spirits, and out they come?” –LUKE 4:33-36.
***The Apostle Paul suffered at the hands of the Romans because he ordered “a demon of divination” (employing tarot cards among other fortune telling paraphernalia), out of a girl that kept following him.. Notice ACTS 16: 16-24.
“And it happened that as we were going to the place of prayer, a certain servant girl with a spirit, a demon of divination, met us. She used to furnish her masters with much gain by practicing the art of prediction. 17 This [girl] kept following Paul and us and crying out with the words: “These men are slaves of the Most High God, who are publishing to YOU the way of salvation.” 18 This she kept doing for many days. Finally Paul got tired of it and turned and said to the spirit: “I order you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour.
19 Well, when her masters saw that their hope of gain had left, they laid hold of Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the rulers, 20 and, leading them up to the civil magistrates, they said: “These men are disturbing our city very much, they being Jews, 21 and they are publishing customs that it is not lawful for us to take up or practice, seeing we are Romans.” 22 And the crowd rose up together against them; and the civil magistrates, after tearing the outer garments off them, gave the command to beat them with rods. 23 After they had inflicted many blows upon them, they threw them into prison, ordering the jailer to keep them securely. 24 Because he got such an order, he threw them into the inner prison and made their feet fast in the stocks.”
***To learn more from the Bible about how true Christains should view consulting the demons; you can read the article entitled:

  5. No, in fact, there are two Christian guys in Australia who use tarot cards to teach the truths of Christianity to people who come to psychic fairs.
I am a Christian who go involved in the occult for a while and did tarot readings. I believe that every pack of tarot cards either has spirits attached to it or that spirits are simply attracted to them when they’re opened. It’s not crazy. When I got rid of my cards, the spirits left with them.

  6. If they aren’t (which they obviously aren’t after reading your details) then they should be. I agree that the suggestion that the bible claims tarot cards will release evil spirits is ridiculous. HOWEVER, I also believe that the bible makes it clear that attempting to learn the future is dangerous for a believer.
The problem is that tarot cards (and horoscopes and oujia boards and all the other things people do to attempt to foresee future events) represent a desire to control that future instead of trusting God to lead you through whatever comes in the future. Note that this conclusion is also psychologically valid…we know that when people believe that they know something about the future, it affects the choices they make today. A person who believes they are going to die may stop fighting and ultimately end up causing their own death…a woman who believes her husband will leave her may withhold her trust and affection until she drives him away.
I’m not convinced that the tarot cards themselves are something to be feared…but I’m firmly convinced that a Christian should fear (and thus avoid) anything that could lead them to the mistaken belief that they know something about the future that wasn’t revealed by God and God alone…anything that would cause them to focus their attention on a future that might happen instead of how you can serve God best in the present!

  7. There’s nothing wrong with Tarot cards. In fact, many “Christians” that tell others not to use them go to readers themselves. There’s honestly nothing wrong with them, and I think if they were against Christianity most decks would not have Christian and Jewish imagery in the pictures. I think Christians are afraid of what their preacher/priest has made them believe is against God, or what their family has said is against God. Make sense?

  8. I do readings with the Tarot Cards, also Numerology at Renn fairs. The idea that Tarot Cards are of the Devil, from the realm of darkness is simply not true. The cards have incredible teachings found in the bible, yes the bible. Before I do a reading I ask my heavenly father to provide wisdom. My teacher is the Holy Spirit. When ever I pray this prayer, I seek to be filled with the presence of God, and when I do the reading, the teachings from God do come. Im not superstitious, but rather believing, and expecting from God what is meant to be known, to me and the inquirer. The same can be said of ones own
name interpretation as well. Its incredible sometimes after church I do a reading about the message given by the pastor, and it is truly right on with the message that was given for me to hear. I have been used by God to share spiritual truth of the Tarot, in my readings I do not ask any questions, just listen to the inquiry. I go with that, and answers do become very clear. There is a variety of cards out there which are known as Christian Tarot Decks, and Christian Oracle Card Decks. The two that I am aware of are the Tarot Of The Saints, and the Conneli Tarot Deck, there are other decks which I am not aware of. The Tarot of The Saints are beautiful, and perfect for ones own personal spiritual times. It is also very amazing that when I do a reading religious, spiritual, and scriptural teachings do come. These therefore are cards of light, not cards of darkness.
