And for those who think it’s worshipping astan, you watched too many movies, get your facts straight before flaming Wiccans.

  1. Are you seeking sites for spells and the witchcraft in general?
Or are you seeking the religious aspect of Wicca?

  2. well i guess theres not one good site. Just type it in a good search engine. there would be tons. Try to find in yahoo groups

  3. http://www.witchvox.com/
Witch’s Voices is one of the the oldest and most popular news and networking sites for Wicca. It has links to many helpful sites, and I’m pretty sure they have forums that can help you. They also list local covens so that you acquaint yourself with other Wiccans. Good luck and blessed be.

  4. I myself am wiccan, and I have a few pointers:
-DO NOT go straight into spells, study like crazy first.
also, for sites, witchvox.com is great.
do not use wicca.com, it is very misnformational, it is better just to learn about the properties of things.
The book “Wicca For Beginners” by Thea Sabin is a great book, hands down, it covers energy, theological beliefs, tools, covens, solitary, eclectic, and things you can do like practices.
Wicca is not all about spells. i have been studying for 3 years, I have yet to preform more then a few spells, but that is not uncommon.
Spells are a sidething. first, you hould do some welcoming rituals, try drawing a circle and calling the quarters, communicating with the gods.
Also, feeling the energy in your body and other objects is a very good practice.
It is better to write your own incantations then to use pre-existing ones.
Study candle magic aswell as stones and such (the only good use of wwicca.com)
witchvox (The witches voice) is the best site for wiccans. It gives so much information.
So, please study, fight the fluff, and don’t give up.
Also, if you’re a minor, mke sure your parents are okay with it.
I’ma star this question and add you, I like following peoples journeys, it’s interesting.
    ALSO:
-A Book of Shadows is a must, you can go to the dollar store and buy a notebook, buy a very expensive one from some occult shop (or from a new ager, they’ll have even higher prices, XD)
or, as i do, use a blog site. This is good because you can opy and paste useful things.
If you’re interested in any help at all on studying, contact me at:
    vampir3jon@hotmail.com
I am willing to help with whatever you need.
P.S. stay away from teen books, they’re misinformed most of the time.

  5. Wicca is a religion. Witchcraft is a magical practice. The two often go together, but don’t necessarily have to. Many Wiccans do not work with spells. As there are witches who do not follow the religion of Wicca.
I’m not sure what you mean by practicing Wicca “a little”, and then you go on to mention spells, which would be a secondary practice. First and foremost, the focus of Wicca is building a relationship with the God(s) and Goddess(es), attuning to nature and the natural cycles of the year (keeping the Sabbats), and living by a code of ethics based on the Wiccan Rede and Law of Return. I would suggest a year’s worth of study on Wicca and witchcraft to determine if this is the path for you before deciding to dedicate to it.
This is one of the best websites with information on all the basics of Wicca: http://wicca.timerift.net/
And every witch should also have The Witches Voice bookmarked:

As far as magic, it’s best to start at the beginning, learning meditation and magical techniques. I would recommend working through Christopher Penczak’s “The Inner Temple of Witchcraft” for this. Once completed, you can move on to “The Outer Temple of Witchcraft” which will delve more into putting the techniques you learn into practice.
I would also recommend Carl McColman’s “Before You Cast a Spell: Understanding the Power of Magic”.

    Blessings on your journey.
