Talismania – connecting multiple talismans? Also, tips?

In Talismania on stage 2, you are given a tip that says “TALISMAN COMBOS: Try connecting multiple Talismans for a super score boost.”

Okay, HOW?

You can’t connect more than two, since as soon as you’ve connected two you’ve finished the level.

Is there a website somewhere that has tips for the game? Google just returns the usual review and download sites.

Wikipedia has an entry on this game that’s really helpful and has tips.

The way to connect multiple talismans is this: Create paths that WILL link 3 or 4 talismans together IF you turn the talismans one time. So, you connect one talisman to the path (so that you can see the path growing), but you do not connect the other ones. Instead, you turn them so that one single click will turn them so that they will connect to the path. Once you have a path that all the talismans CAN link to, you click the talismans VERY FAST! You have a second or so before the game is over, so you just zip around the board and click on all the talismans to turn them, and all of them will be connected.

You actually don’t need to link up 3 or 4 talismans together. You could link up 2 together and then the other two together. But I think the bonus is smaller… but you still get lots of coins.

3-way and 4-way blocks are obviously your friends when creating paths that all the talismans can link up to.

Here’s a tip. Save the game (by going Quit & Save from the Pause menu) after each time you Build something. If you fail to get gold before the next level is over, kill the game from the Task Manager (if full screen, Alt-Tab out of the game to access the Task Bar and from it the Task Manager, if windowed, just right-click on the game on the Task Bar and Close). This will put you back to the beginning of that level, with all your work gone, so you can try again for gold! If you’re having a really great game (like 3 gold in a row), you can save in the middle of a level, so that you won’t have to start all over if you fail to get gold by the end.
