What are some good exercises or yoga to reduce Hiatus Hernia to solve the problem of GERD?

Can someone go to Gym if he has Hiatus Hernia that is causing GERD? What exercise and yoga that someone should and should not do if having hiatus hernia? I have heard people have reduced their small hiatus hernia by yoga. Is it true? Can someone really do that or surgery is the only option.
