Not only Theravadans, but also there are objective historians (no source) that say mahayana texts have adhamma added to the dhamma. Some scholars also say Mahayana have contradictory teachings within Mahayana texts themselves. How do Mahayanans know they’re following only original teachings with no apocryphal ideas mixed in?
