I do Reiki, crystal healing, herbalism, colour healing and am studying aromatherapy, Indian head massage, life coaching and past life therapy. Actually lab girl girl, they use people like me too, cos I’m also a trained first aider!
I’ve browsed a few books and a few things online about meditation, but most if not all of them in one form or another involve spirituality. For example, one source said to burn incense but not to look too long at it because the burning would taint your soul or something like that. Do you have any suggestions about where I can look into meditation tips that focus relieving stress and increasing focus in a practical fashion as opposed to a spiritual one?
I am pretty much an atheist but I would like to go down the “path of enlightenment”. I want to study something that cuts out all supernatural/god/afterlife teachings. Is Zen Buddhism the closest thing I will find? Are there other philosophies/spiritual teachings that would be better suited for me (even outside of Buddhism)? Thank you!
I’ve been hearing a lot of theories of who created Kung Fu or Wushu. Huang Di because with his great knowledge of medicine it has said to be beneficial for the human health ex: Tai Chi. Bodhidharma because he traveled from India to China and distributed the art to the Shaolin monks.
Is it from a religion? A ‘guru’ ? Do you have to pay to learn it? Are the results fairly quick to notice or do they take months to recognize a true change of consciousness Most importantly: Have you practiced one yourself (or know someone who has) that their practice of this meditation brought upon a blissful state?
By nature, I tend to be overly emotional and sensitive, this has caused me problems in the past. I was just wondering if anyone might have any knowledge on how to fix this problem, through meditation or any other method.
However you want to define the term…Holy Spirit, non-physical being, incorporeal consciousness, supernatural being, the part of a person that leaves the body at death, essential nature of someone or something, etc… Is it possible to invoke the spirit of someone on R&S? How come? neil s: you showed up when I called…that’s proof enough for me. You have seen what many haven’t, and I’m curious about the “God of neil s” Do you still explore dimensions of consciousness? white_painted_lady:...
