I’m currently taking the RCIA program to become catholic and I didn’t want to ask this in “class”, But I believe very strongly in this. I have done past life regressions and found that I had 3 past lives 2 female and 1 male (I won’t go into details).

  • No.

Just as it is appointed that human beings die once, and after this the judgment … (Hebrews 9:27)

Catholics and most other Christians believe there is no “reincarnation” after death.

Death is the end of man’s earthly pilgrimage, of the time of grace and mercy which God offers him so as to work out his earthly life in keeping with the divine plan, and to decide his ultimate destiny. When “the single course of our earthly life” is completed, we shall not return to other earthly lives.

    With love in Christ.

  • no, Catholics do NOT believe in reincarnation. It is completely against every kind of Christianity because reincarnation denies the fact that God has created every soul to be completely unique, and also denies the fact that when life is over, we all will end up in either Heaven or Hell. ( purgatory is for those who will eventually get to Heaven)

  • The Bible has a verse which states that it is destined unto a “man to die once and then the judgment.” Many accept this as evidence that we only have one human life. The Catholic Church does believe in the afterlife and has a long-standing respect for those who have died and now reside in Paradise – the saints. A wise man once said, we only have one life, and if we do it right, once should be enough. Eternal spirits have no life-span since time is a concept of mankind.

  • I don’t know about catholics, but I would like you to know that I do. I had the chance to go through a regression once, but I gave up. I was too scared… I am afraid of finding out how I died, because I have the impression I was murdered by someone I trusted. I have problems on trusting people, even silly games like “close your eyes, I have a surprise for you”… I simply freak out and I can’t close my eyes and I always think the person wants to kill me…

Well, I do believe in past lives.

    Peace!

  • Nowhere in the Bible does it say anything about past lives and reincarnation. So i hope not. Catholic doctrine is totally unbiblical, as I have come to understand. I strongly discourage you in ur pursuit. NOTE the word discourage. Im not flaring, im just saying the truth.

  • No we don’t.
